Customer Care

Looking for a new lawn installation or someone to offer lawn care and restoration services, Mesquite Landscaping provides top-rated customer care in the eastern area of Phoenix. Are you looking to add a few new trees or replant your landscape? We can help with that, too.

Creating a Landscape You Will Love

Rather than a typical computer-assisted design program, Mesquite Landscaping’s designer uses 3D automation so you can view your yard before your installation. This 3D automation allows your full vision to come to life before our team gets to work.

We are happy to suggest plants to accompany an existing landscape properly or can create an entirely new landscape design for you. And our professional team can improve your irrigation system and integrate shade structures, walkways, and even an outdoor kitchen.

Lawn Care Following New Installation

Whether you are starting with dirt in front of a new home, or want a reset to your old yard, the key to any great lawn is your watering system. Mesquite Landscaping is happy to provide lawn care guidance and set you up with the proper irrigation system through an upgrade or new installation.

You must be ready to provide proper lawn care following a new installation or a revamp. Your yard will need a bit of daily TLC for the first month or two, and an automatic irrigation system will help.

When to Water and Mow

Following the installation of a new lawn, you must keep it from getting dry. Your new lawn will need to be watered three times a day, perhaps more, for the first two weeks. But don’t leave the water on too long – four to 10 minutes each time should be long enough.

The best times to water happen early in the morning, sometime around noon, and again in the evening. After two weeks, cut back to only twice per day, morning and evening. In another week to 10 days, you can cut back to watering once per day in the early morning.

Your new lawn will need its first mowing in about one month. Afterward, avoid letting your lawn get too tall between mowing times. Use a trimmer or edger around the sprinkler heads to allow for even watering patterns. As a general rule of thumb, mowing the lawns should occur weekly.

New Plants and Tree Care

Newly planted trees and plants need to be watered daily for the first few weeks. Do not saturate them, but ensure they do not dry out. After a few weeks, taper back to the suggested watering schedule that best fits your soil type, the weather, and the maturity of the plants and trees.

Younger plants need watering more often than more mature plants. If your soil has good drainage, you will need to water more often than soils that absorb water or do not drain as easily.

We will discuss the care of your new plants and trees upon planting. In addition, it is a good idea to read up on them so you fully understand their needs.

Keep in mind that watering new lawns and landscapes so frequently as they adapt, your soil will be damp most of the time. Try to refrain from walking through the newly planted areas as much as you can during those first four to six weeks.
